Goats to fall in love with

CASHMERE

This most precious and luxurious fiber, sourced from the cashmere goat, warms beautifully and is particularly supple. These animals live in the Mongolian and Himalayan mountains, which have extremely cold winters. Their super fine undercoat hair is found to offer the best protection.

During moulting in the springtime, the precious hair is selected by hand or combed out. This is why a maximum of only 100 grams is collected per animal per year.

Cashmere is so popular because it has excellent thermal insulation and is very good at repelling moisture. The very fine fibres are also dirt and odour repellent and have a high tensile strength.

The wool keeps you six times warmer than normal sheep’s wool. Cashmere is particularly popular due to its very fine fibres, which neither scratch nor fluff.
