Our testimonial

Tanja Steinbach is a knitting designer with LANA GROSSA, responsible in team for the development of new yarns and knitting pattern designs.

Creative with every fiber!

Since November 2017 Tanja Steinbach has extensively contributed new concepts to the LANA GROSSA Collection. With a keen sense for trends and colors, a preference for natural fibers and a tireless drive for innovation she has proved herself adept in the development of truly amazing yarns. To get you casting on with these new innovations as soon as possible, Tanja takes the opportunity to utilise these yarns in suitable design patterns, which go on to be beautifully presented in the LANA GROSSA magazines. Tanja Steinbach has a clear objective… to inspire as many people as possible to get involved with knitting and crocheting! She achieves this through her collaborative work with the editors of BRIGITTE and LANDLUST magazines. Together they have produced a thrilling fashion spread, to share in their inspiration simply pick up a copy at your local news agent.

Meilenweit future!

"Socks are like shoes: you just can't have enough of them!" says Tanja Steinbach. I'm sure you've also noticed how much has happened on the LANA GROSSA sock yarn front in recent weeks. Be it Meilenweit Merino hand-dyed, Meilenweit 100 Seta, Landlust sock wool and About Berlin series - Tanja Steinbach is the driving force behind our new sock yarns.

    Socktober 2023

“It’s almost a small tradition. Since 2016 I have been publishing a free sock pattern on my blog www.tanjasteinbach.de, just in time for October 1st, the so-called SOCKTOBER. This year, together with LANA GROSSA, I am combining two worthwhile campaigns, the proceeds of which will be used to fight cancer.”

50 cents per ball of yarn sold from this campaign will be collected by LANA GROSSA and then donated in equal parts to these two initiatives. Please support the campaign as well.

    Every sock counts!
