LINEN

Linen is very robust, hardwearing and durable. It is a natural, ecological and sustainable fibre that is obtained from the stems of the flax plant. These are extra-fine and long, which is why they offer little space for air pockets.

Yarns made from flax fibres are lint-free, dirt-repellent, antistatic and bactericidal. This means that linen inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria in its structure. This is what makes this quality so hygienic. Linen can also neutralise odours and is hypoallergenic, making it particularly interesting for allergy sufferers.

Linen also has a cooling effect: it is good at absorbing moisture from the air and releasing it back into the environment. However, the characteristic shimmer of linen is not only due to the smooth surface of the fibre, but also to its natural wax coating.
