From furniture to fashion – Scandinavian design has a rich history shaped by function and its down-to-earth aesthetic. It’s no surprise that knitting plays such a big role there: the long harsh winters call for practical, warm clothing, providing ample time for intricate handwork to unfold. What makes these pieces truly striking is their simplicity of form, which lets the patterns take center stage. Even the colorful Norwegian yoke with its precisely placed lines, brings a sense of calm, guiding the eye with a quiet confidence. Nordic knitwear continues to fascinate and inspire DIY fans around the globe.

Every fall/winter season we dedicate this magazine to knitwear, filled to the brim with both modern and traditional interpretations. Many of the designs are worked top-down in true Scandinavian style, where circular knitting avoids seams and ensures comfort. For the yarns however, we turn to ‘Made in Italy’. The result is a perfect package: time-honoured knitting technique for cold days, combined with the expertise of renowned Italian spinning mills.
